Maxxess Solutions with Hackett Security
Hackett Security is a leading provider of MAXxess security framework systems. Over the past several years, MAXxess has focused on analyzing the organizational security challenge in the context of emerging technologies, evolving corporate economics, new expectations for security and the new thinking required to address these challenges. As a result of this analysis, MAXxess undertook the development of security management solutions that was responsive to both the evolving security challenges and the technical infrastructure available in a wide range of security environments. These solutions are part of the MAXxess EndPoint™ family of products.
EndPoint™ Security Management Framework
EndPoint is a network-based software solution that provides a very flexible and extensible event and system management framework for security, emergency management and day-to-day operations.
EndPoint provides the right information to the right people at the right time.
The EndPoint framework becomes the infrastructure for developing sophisticated policies, processes, protocols and operational procedures for meeting dynamic and evolving event management challenges and threats. It is this “learning process” characteristic of EndPoint that makes it a particularly powerful technology for extremely large and complex system implementations in which the ultimate operational objectives are unknown or, indeed, unknowable at the beginning of the project.
We believe that if security isn’t everywhere it is nowhere
EndPoint enables command decisions made at the highest levels to be implemented at all appropriate points of presence of the system. Appropriate information from each EndPoint client is automatically relayed to an EndPoint Management Framework for situational awareness and higher-level command and control functions. EndPoint operates on a philosophy of layered information. EndPoint is implemented with two or more layers of information with each layer containing more detailed information. The top view provides an executive overview that shows the status of all of the organization’s facilities. The second and third layer provide more detailed status and event information regarding the facility (or facilities) experiencing the event.
Individual client systems, end points, are connected to a management framework through existing TCP/IP networks. End points can be connected by local Ethernets, VPNs, IP tunnels in Frame Relay channels, the Internet, etc. Each client system provides both an integration point for local sensors and systems and, if desired, a human interface for local operations and control.
- Structured, multi-level iconic display of status, events and context
- Shared TCP/IP communication structure
- SQL database of all events & actions for reporting and analysis
- Extensive connectivity to legacy systems, IP resources, e-mail and web content
- Remote monitoring and control
- Multi-level user interfaces
- Remote notification via e-mail and IM
- All events and responses logged into a data base for audit trail and trend information

Application Specific EndPoint Systems
EndPoint is highly flexible and adapts well to a number of applications.

SEMS™
The EndPoint solution that is targeted to provide visibility and communications between public school districts and their schools is called SEMS, or Safety and Emergency Management System. It provides consistent and timely information to all elements of the school system in response to unplanned or emergency events, and provides a security framework for school districts and their schools using existing networks.
At the most basic level, SEMS provides a security backbone for every participating school. This backbone ties together current and future security, safety and facility management systems and transmits that information to the district offices. SEMS can incorporate systems that a school may already have in place while being capable of integrating future technologies and tools as they are introduced. SEMS creates an open framework for schools and gives them a base from which to grow their security and safety system.

Site-in-Sight™
MAXxess Site-in-Sight facility framework software is designed to integrate all hotel, club or resort facility functions and allow the end user to monitor, evaluate and control all of the facility functions. It is a decision-making tool that in most cases will automatically initiate actions and will help organizations save time and provide better service to their guests. It was designed to integrate with other “back office” organizational software that has an open architecture.
Site-in-Sight systems are designed to provide three areas of awareness:
Operational (guest relations, employee operations and resource utilization)
Situational Awareness (safety, security and emergency management)
Environmental Awareness (Green functions which can control use of water and electricity)
