Responsibilities

  • Solicit and develop new commercial accounts
  • Schedule appointments to discuss/demonstrate alarm systems to prospects
  • Prepare proposals in conjunction with above; follow through with customer to signed proposal
  • Demonstrate system operation to customer before and after installation
  • Establish relationships with current customers to expand sales volumes

Installation and Service Technicians

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and relocate all types of systems and services including but not limited to fire, intercom, security, CCTV and access control
  • Test and repair all systems and services using the proper test equipment
  • Work closely with customers and Sales Department to insure proper installation and maintenance
  • I nstall and maintain data services and all associated equipment
  • Train and instruct customers on their new systems and services
  • Must be certified on all systems that are products used by Hackett Security
  • Actively participate in and support all marketing activities
  • Design system configurations, software and hardware, for customer and provide this information to team counterpart for pricing and administration
  • Order all equipment, generate material requisitions, repair/return and material received reports
  • Install authorized equipment on site in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Coordinate equipment testing and explain system capabilities and operation to customer
  • Assist with inventory control and ensure adequate stock levels of equipment
  • Establish account in customer database and complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, time logs and emergency information schedule
  • Assist in promotion and sale of additional equipment/services
  • Safely operate assigned company vehicle and ensure that it is maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Exhibit professional appearance and conduct in accordance with established company standards to present a professional image to customer and the general public
  • Providing training for new installation technicians when proficient in all of the above duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.  A degree in electronics or five years experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems
  • Minimum of five years experience in a related field
  • Technical knowledge of security, fire, CCTV, access systems as well as basic telephone, electronics and date systems
  • Working knowledge of all associated test equipment used to test and repair all systems and services
  • Ability to use laptop PC for troubleshooting systems and maintaining customer record files and critical administrative needs
  • Ability to meet the public, conduct seminars and make presentations to customers
  • Above average written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to travel overnight for short periods as needed for schools, seminars and training programs
  • Nicet certification is desirable

We are always in search of hard-working enthusiastic individuals who would like to join our team as a Customer Service Representative in our Central Station. We offer three full time shifts during the standard business week as well as part-time shifts on weekends and holidays.

Position Scope & Responsibilities

As an employee of Hackett Security, Inc., the Customer Representative will be responsible for monitoring alarms as well as interfacing with customers, company technicians and sales staff and various local emergency departments.   Further duties may be assigned.

Requirements & Experience

The successful candidate will

  • possess excellent communication skills,
  • be very organized,
  • respond calmly and in a professional manner even during emergency situations,
  • and possess a high degree of ethics.  

Past alarm experience is not a requirement.   Basic computer skills are necessary for job performance.   Successful candidates will be required to submit a current background check.


National Accounts Manager

Position Scope & Responsibilities:

This is a very proactive managerial position requiring extensive organizational and multi-tasking skills.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of the technical staff, scheduling and purchasing of equipment as well as coordination with the sales department and the Central Station.

Requirements & Experience:

The successful candidate should possess a minimum of five years of project management experience.   The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, good computer skills, and be extremely organized, able to prioritize tasks and be exceptionally motivated.

Candidate must be thoroughly committed to bringing in projects at or under bid and in a timely manner.

Management experience in dispatch scheduling or telecommunications is a plus.
